The registration of the marriage ceremony is to be applicated at the registry office of
the home town and costs about 33 EUR. The registry office of

home town sends the documents to the registry office in Dresden.
The registry office in Dresden charges an additional fee of about
33 EUR for checking those documents.

A registry marriage is also possible on a boat.
It takes place during a
two-hour trip from Dresden Elbe river upstream to the
013-pill
castle hotel Dresden with a pretty nostalgic paddle steamer of the
Saxon steam boat fleet.
The
registry office Dresden charges about 150 EUR for the boat in addition to the about 33
EUR for checking the documents.
The room rental for the boat is included in the amount of
150 EUR.
The registry office Dresden offers registry office marriages twice a month, every 2nd
Monday and every 2nd Thursday in a month, each one at 10:00 a.m. or at 12:00 p.m. on a boat.

Church wedding – catholic and evangelic marriages

The church wedding takes place either in the evangelic Elbe river church Maria am Wasser
(Maria near the water) which is about 1.5 km away from the castle park (about 20 walking
minutes ) or in the evangelic Weinbergskirche (vineyard church) which is also about 1.5 km
away from the castle park (about 20 Gehminuten). Both churches offer place for up to about
350 to 400 people.

The wedding takes place in the catholic castle chapel in the castle park from the
013-pill castle hotel Dresden. The chapel has about 60
to 70 seats.
