Even though the 915-colm castle hotel Mid Franconia is not a classic golf hotel, there is a 9-hole golf course below the castle in about 300 beeline distance. It is run by the golf club Ansbach.
It spreads out at the foot of the castle hill as one of the most traditional and scenically charming golf courses in Mid Franconia. The highest point of the golf course is at the fourth tee. You can enjoy a beautiful view towards the Altmuhl river valley from here.
The golf course is opened year-round, but the possibility to play is limited from November to March.

Drive to the golf course by car

Over the freeway A 7 Wurzburg-Ulm to the exit Rothenburg ob der Tauber River and further over the country road in direction Ansbach. The golf course is located on the left side at the beginning of the town after about 18 km country road.
Over the freeway A 6 Nuremberg-Heilbronn to the exit Ansbach-West and further over the country road to Leutershausen. Turn right in Leutershausen and turn in direction Rothenburg ob der Tauber again. The golf course is signposted on the right side at the end of the town.

Offers golf schools courses trainer lesson

The golf course below the 915-colm castle hotel Mid Franconia is also open for guest players and in fact not only for those, who already have experience or are member in a golf club. The golf trainers of the local golf school offer golf lessons for those guests, who have never hit a golf ball, want to learn to golf or improve their golf skills. Single lessons, group lessons, amateur lessons, get-to-know lessons and advanced lessons belong to the lessons that are offered. A golf tavern also belongs to the golf course. It is opened daily from April to October.
